Our community provides a supportive place for survivors of murder-suicide loss to share their experiences, thoughts, and feelings regardless of their relationship(s) to the victims and/or perpetrators.
Our community provides constructive ways to grieve, cope, and heal.
Our community removes or works to reduce the stigma and shame associated with this often-misunderstood and complex type of suicide loss.
An objective of our community is to provide participants with a tool, skill, connection, or new perspective to help them move toward their healing goals.
Check to acknowledge that you've read and understand each part of the community guidelines and ground rules as pertains to group meetings
Our community is open to those who have lost any loved one(s) to murder-suicide loss and each loss and relationship has equal value in the group
We encourage all members to share openly, honestly, and from the heart - but silence is ok too.
All emotions are valid and will not be met with judgement, criticism, or condemnation.
We practice respect for the beliefs and values of others. Spiritual or political issues may be discussed as long as they do not divide the group or take up and inappropriate amount of time.
We respect the commitment of each other's time. We will begin and end the meetings on time.
Group meetings and activities are not intended to serve or replace professional counseling, guidance, or mental health treatment.
All group discussions will be kept confidential unless otherwise agreed upon.
